With each bewildered breath, i put my feet to motion
Step over sidewalk lines creased with commotion

As i slid through walls of rusted chrome-like ether,
In my bones i feel as tough as death and eager
To find a cassette-tape song from any other era
Lost among the multitudes of missing ones and zeroes

It came in a flash
Of ice that whipped our face
A familiar smell
Our feet were tracing paths
In the road
Over logs and bones, down the hill
The sun was turned black, cold
